Data recovery

The Lab has equipment capable of recovering data from 3.5" and 5.25" floppy disks, Zip disks, and other obsolete computing media. We have successfully recovered data produced on a wide range of computing systems from the 1980s and 1990s, including Atari, Apple II, MS DOS, UCSD PSystem, CP/M, and others.

Our data recovery service is available at no charge to the University of Victoria community and other publicly funded organizations on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to extend this service to the broader community.
