The Historic Computing Lab was pleased to welcome Mimi Lam, a Librarian from UBC, who visited the Lab in late March with a project to recover data from a variety of older computer media held by the UBC Archives. Working with technologist Greg Lanning, Mimi recovered data  from a variety of media including 5.25" and 3.5" floppy disks and optical media. In addition to technical support, the lab supplied the appropriate drives, computers, and access to specialized devices such as the Greaseweazle and Kryoflux.
